Conscious Commerce Curated Limited Edition Birchbox

Conscious Commerce Limited Edition Curated Birchbox product list

I recently bought this limited edition Birchbox that was curated by the ladies behind Conscious Commerce (Olivia Wilde, who I love!, and Babs Burchfield). I had already bought the Vanity Affair LE box and I wasn't planning on getting the Conscious Commerce one, but then I saw the unboxing video. I fell in love and I impulsively bought it with the birchbox points that I earned from my previous purchase. I love everything that this box is about. Everything in this box is a product that gives back to an important cause. I received the box this past week and I love it! Everything is well-made and something that I know that I will use.

Pura Vida Bracelets Grey Purple Gold Bar Conscious Commerce Birchbox

Pura Vida Bracelets Conscious Commerce Grey Purple Gold Bar Birchbox

These Pura Vida bracelets are pretty cute. My favorite is the grey one with the gold bar, but it looks good paired with the simple purple one! Every bracelet bought helps to provide full-time jobs to artisans in Costa Rica. But this company also gives back to charities across the world through the sale of charity bracelets. My favorite are the charities that help protect our oceans!

Krochet Kids Intl Teal Betty Hat Conscious Commerce Birchbox

Krochet Kids Teal Betty Hat Conscious Commerce

This teal hat is my favorite product in the box. The company is called Krochet Kids Intl and every product is signed by the person who made it. My hat was handmade by a woman in Northern Uganda named Aloyo Jennifer. I read her story and it really inspired me. I love what Krochet Kids is doing to help empower people to rise above poverty. You can even go to their website and thank the person who made your product. I think that's an awesome idea. I left a thank you note for Ms. Jennifer. I'm not sure if she will ever see or read it, but it made me feel good. Don't judge me (too much). ;) Here is a pic of me wearing it on my instagram.

Live The Process Gym Clutch Conscious Commerce

This is a waterproof gym clutch by Live The Process, a luxury activewear brand. A gym clutch sounds a little silly, doesn't it? If I do end up going to a gym, I definitely need more than just a clutch, unless I plan on going back home and showering. However, I think it's cute! Even though it's made from vinyl, it's incredibly (and surprisingly) soft. I would use it for a casual night out if I don't want to bring along my "Mary Poppins bag" with my whole life in it. Also, it would be a good bag to take to something like Bendy Brewskis, where I don't need a lot of stuff but still need something to keep my wallet and keys in.

Public-Supply Yellow Ruled Notebook Conscious Commerce

Public-Supply is a for-profit company that donates 25% of its profits to a teacher in a high-need classroom who will use the money for a project that drives creativity. All products are designed in Brooklyn, New York and sustainably sourced in the USA. Plus, every product is stamped with a tracking code that you can enter on their site. You'll be able to see the classroom and project that you helped support. This notebook helped to pay for supplies needed for an orchestra program! How cool is that?

Made Nungunungu Necklace Conscious Commerce
Apologies for the clash of cool vs warm, LOL. I didn't realize until I was editing the photos and I didn't want to change my shirt. #lazy
This is the Nungunungu necklace by Made, my second favorite item! It is made from reclaimed brass and handcrafted by highly skilled artisans in Kenya. Their workshop in Kenya, which currently employs over 60 men and women, provides a safe working environment, job security, and training. Also, they buy their materials from local individuals at a fair price and they try to use recycled materials whenever they can. Awesome!

OSEA White Algae Mask Conscious Commerce Birchbox

This is the OSEA White Algae Mask. It's an anti-aging mask that helps to correct uneven skin-tone, soothes redness, and firms/lifts.  I'm not sure about the firming and lifting part, but I tried it yesterday for 30 minutes (they recommend using it for 10 minutes or overnight). It is super tingly at first, in a refreshing way, but tones down after about 5 minutes. It is actually not drying. Not sure why I thought it would be. It does resemble a clay mask, but there is no clay. The mask itself does dry out on your skin, but when you rinse it off, it plumps up and kind of turns slimy. The texture is a little weird, but I love the way that this made my skin feel. I am feeling a little down about my skin lately, but this mask really made it feel smoother! I know that I have only used it once, but I am pretty much in love with it already. It is very pricy though ($48 for 1.7 oz).

This limited edition box is $68, but has a $180 value! To me, it was worth it! And it also introduced me to all these cool companies that are doing great things that matter to me. You can purchase this box here. I'm thinking about getting this for my sister, who is more conscious about the world than I am. (Shhh, don't tell her!)

(This limited edition box was purchased by me and all opinions are my own. Links are there for convenience.)

  3. That's an awesome box. Is the notebook lined? I like notebooks, but I prefer unlined ones, haha.

    1. Yeah, it's lined! Womp womp. This box was a good deal though! So I don't think the lined notebook should be a dealbreaker. XD

  4. I actually love the gold necklace over the light grey shirt. Yellow and grey are often used as a good color pair. ;)
At this point I'm much interested in purchasing boxes selectively than going for a period of subscription. Good box you got there! :)

    1. Lol thanks for making me feel better! I didn't think that it looked bad, but then I overthought about it. XD

Yeah! Sometimes my birchbox is kind of lame some months. I liked these limited edition boxes because you know what you're gonna get (and if you're going to like it) and it's usually a pretty good deal! I almost can't believe the actual value of this box!

  6. I love the notebook (notebooks in general) and products made in the U.S. I checked out Public-Supply's website and I'm debating buying one. I just wish they were a little bigger!
